Rebecca Head is a third year fashion design graduate from the pretigious Bath Spa university.
Her graduate collection called 1/600 A/W 2013 was inspired bt the Lysomal Storage Disease, Gaucher Disease whch she was diagnosed with 2 years ago. Using Shape, silhouette and proportion are inspired by playing with volume to mimic the way Gaucher disease affects few organs in the human body. The colour scheme is based around the medical equiptmet, such as the transparency and range of grey tones within the plastic packaging and the colours used with needles, IV tubes and filters. The luxe sportswear market has primarily led the fabric choices by using technical fabrics, but also incorporated the medical packaging but useing plastics. Using print to push a cohesive sportswear look, with the main sport insipration coming from skiwear. The mood of her collection has a crisp, cool, energetic vibe for the women's contemporary casual wear market.
SHOOTDHS Models were elated to have been approached directly by Rebecca requesting a model for images to be submitted to Italia Vogue as they recently placed her in the top 100 up and coming fashion designers.
